Gentec and Mission Plan Nord
Gentec's president, Francois Giroux, was a member of Mission Plan Nord jointly organised by Regis Labeaume, mayor of Quebec City and Jean Charest, Prime Minister of Quebec.
The participants were able to see that Gentec is already well established in Quebec's Northern Region with systems already installed at Robert-Bourassa power dam and Ouje-Bougoumou museum for the Cree civilisation.
Last but not least, Gentec firmly intend to pursue opportunities identified during the course of this mission.
Mr. Serge Latulippe joins Gentec’s team
Gentec is proud to announce that Mr. Serge Latulippe joined Gentec' s team as Director of Software Development.
Mr. Latulippe, in collaboration with the sales and development teams, will be responsible for direction and definition of software applications for Gentec.
Mr. Latulippe has worked in the field of design and software programming as well as project management for over 20 years (Cooper Power System, Hydro-Québec).

Gentec gets an important contract from Hydro-Quebec
Gentec was awarded an important contract from Hydro-Quebec to supply many hundreds units of remote controlled cabinets for capacitor banks over the entire distribution network in respect to the CATVAR project.

Gentec is proud to announce the hiring of Mr. Marc Frégeau. After working at Hydro-Québec for more than 30 years Mr. Frégeau has developed a profound understanding of the constrains and stakes in electric substations. As such an expert he will collaborate on numerous strategic projects for Gentec.

New Shunts Resistors Module
Gentec announces a new Shunts Resistors Module MS16-2UM-THT readily available to interface signals from a variety of analog sources (Tension transformers, currant transformers, 4-20 mA current loop, etc) to Fast Analogical Entries Data Acquisition Cards.
More rugged and reliable than before this new module permits the interface with different entry types of 225 Vca (±320 Vpeek).

Battery chargers for Bombardier
Gentec is proud to announce the sale of 3 RS-type battery chargers to Bombardier Transport through a business partner. These battery chargers will be imbedded in 3 traction power substations for the Riyadh business district monorail in Saudi Arabia.
